The report card is out, and it stated that unemployment rate is at 8.9 percent.
That being said, for millions of Americans, the prospect of getting a job has worsten or gotten a whole lot better. It is all relative to where you live, what you are looking for, education and skills you bring to the table.
Certain sectors are doing well, as they have increased the numbers of opening:
Healthcare: 34,000
Manufacturing: 33,000
Transportation & warehouse: 22,000
Computer & science workers: 9,500
Avoid the government sectors, for example police officers, teachers etc. Just last month alone, budget cuts have eliminated 30,000 jobs.
